Nexus reads Spire
It writes a read-only query against your live Spire company, limited to the data you are allowed to see, and runs it. If the query fails, it corrects itself once and tries again.

What people ask about Ask Nexus
Can Ask Nexus change our data?
No. It can only run queries that read, and every query is checked before it runs. It cannot add, change or delete anything in Spire.
Can staff see things they should not?
Each person is limited to the data categories you grant them, and cost and margin columns are blocked without the gross profit permission. At sign-in, Nexus also trims those rights back to what the person's own Spire account allows.
Does it make up answers?
It answers only from the rows its query returns, and when nothing matches it tells you so. Administrators can open the exact query behind any answer to check what was counted.
What if someone tries to misuse it?
Questions that probe payroll, the general ledger or system data without access, and attempts to override its instructions, are refused, logged and emailed to an address you choose.
