Nexus for Spire: the integration platform built around Spire ERP

Nexus was designed around Spire, and Spire is what it runs on. It reads your Spire company live, writes orders, quotes, requisitions and bills back through Spire's own API, and follows each person's Spire rights to the general ledger, payroll and margins. It is built and supported in Markham by Cortexx Software, an Authorized Spire Integration Partner.

Built around Spire

An integration that starts from Spire, not from a generic connector

A sync copies data out of Spire on a schedule and leaves you two sets of numbers. Nexus works on top of your Spire company, so the numbers on the screen are the numbers in Spire.

Spire stays the system of record

Nexus screens query your Spire company live, so there is no export to run and no second set of numbers to reconcile. When Nexus takes an order, a quote, a requisition or a supplier bill, it sends it through Spire's own API and Spire creates the document.

It works the way Spire works

Spire's own fiscal periods and budgets on the income statement, Spire's job costing and phases for job cost, Spire's price for every quote line, and each customer's own Spire setting for how they take invoices by email.

It keeps to Spire rights

At every sign-in, Nexus checks each person against their own Spire account. Whoever Spire keeps out of the general ledger, payroll or gross profit is kept out of them in Nexus too, in the dashboards and in Ask Nexus alike.

Writes into Spire

Modules that put the work into Spire

Switch on the ones you need. Each puts its work into Spire in the ways its page describes, so the order, the quote, the bill or the job cost is recorded in Spire.

Order Entry & Point of Sale

Orders and quotes keyed at the desk and created in Spire, and a till where the sale, the payment and the Spire invoice are one flow.

How it works →

Field Sales

Quotes taken on the road, saved with no signal, and written into Spire as real quotes once the connection returns.

How it works →

Sales Pipeline / CRM

A pipeline whose deals push real quotes into Spire, priced by Spire, beside live receivables and sales history.

How it works →

Purchasing & Requisitions

Replenishment worked out from your Spire stock and sales, approval in front of Spire, and approved requisitions written into Spire.

How it works →

Supplier bills

Bills read by AI, matched to the purchase order and its receipts, approved by amount, and only then posted to Spire AP.

How it works →

Warehouse & Delivery

Receiving, picking, packing and counts over your live Spire stock. Each kind of write into Spire has its own switch, and every switch starts off.

How it works →

Construction & Job Sites

Stages, sites and crew time over Spire's own job costing, with approved labour and materials posted into Spire job cost.

How it works →

Production

Bills of material, routings and work orders tracked stage by stage, with estimates pushed to Spire as quotes and work in process journalled to the Spire ledger.

How it works →

Tax & Compliance

Sales tax, payroll deduction and other returns derived from your Spire data and cross-checked, with a remittance posted to Spire only after a preview and your typed confirmation.

Common questions

Spire ERP integration, answered

What is Nexus for Spire?
Nexus is the integration and intelligence platform from Cortexx Software, an Authorized Spire Integration Partner in Markham, Ontario. Nexus for Spire is Nexus connected to your Spire company: live dashboards and plain-English answers from your Spire data, with modules that write orders, quotes, requisitions and supplier bills into Spire.
Does Nexus replace Spire?
No. Spire keeps your customers, items, prices, orders, invoices and ledger. Nexus reads them live and adds what Spire has no place for, such as a sales pipeline, approvals, a warehouse floor and AI answers. When Nexus creates a document, it is a Spire document.
How does Nexus connect to Spire?
Two ways. It reads your Spire company's database directly, so every screen is live. Every order, quote or bill it creates goes through Spire's own REST API, signed in as a Spire user you set aside for it, so Spire itself creates each one.
Does Nexus work with ERPs other than Spire?
Nexus was built around Spire, and Spire is the ERP it runs on today: its screens read a Spire company, and every document it creates is a Spire document. If you run another ERP, tell us which one and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot do with it.
Which versions of Spire does it support?
Spire 3.13 and Spire 4.1. The Nexus build fails if any code relies on something only Spire 4 has, so a company still on 3.13 runs the same Nexus as one on 4.1. On an older version, ask us first.
We run several Spire companies. Can one Nexus serve them all?
Yes. Each Spire company gets its own Nexus database, and the company a person picks decides which Spire company every screen reads and writes.
Can Nexus change our Spire data?
Only through the modules you switch on, in the ways each one describes, and through a stock repair that only your Nexus administrators can run. The dashboards, the record screens and Ask Nexus read Spire and write nothing back. Modules such as Order Entry, Purchasing and Supplier bills create Spire documents, and each kind of warehouse write starts switched off. The repair corrects a part's committed or on-order quantity that no longer matches the documents behind it, for the parts an administrator picks, after they type the company name to confirm.
Will our staff see things in Nexus that Spire keeps from them?
Not the general ledger, payroll or margins. At every sign-in Nexus checks each person against their own Spire account, and whoever Spire keeps out of the general ledger, payroll or gross profit is kept out of them in Nexus too. Beyond that, your Nexus administrator decides who sees what, person by person.
What does the AI see?
Ask Nexus writes a query that only reads, checks it before it runs, and runs it through a separate read-only login to your Spire company, limited to the data the person asking is allowed to see. It answers only from the rows that query returns. What the model sees and what it can never touch is published on our AI privacy page.
Who builds and supports it?
Cortexx Software, the team that wrote Nexus. We are an Authorized Spire Integration Partner, we implement Spire too, and the people you meet are the people who do the work.
